CRD is very clear in its perspective of socio-economic development with a professional outlook. Since its inception, it has been playing a catalytic role in the development process with the well-defined planning and strategies based on local available resources, skill and tradition. While working with any project/ programme, we always emphasize on people’s needs, priority and participation at all levels.

Presently, the leadership of CRD is bestowed on Dr. P.K. Sarmah, Executive Director, who has enough experience in the voluntary sector as well as socio-economic development. It is because of his continuous guidance, motivation and selfless works that entail CRD to build up a professional team in the state. And that’s why, within a short span of time, CRD is able to curve a special niche in the development sector.
Dr. Sarmah has a unique and advanced concept of development taking into account of available resources and traditional wisdom. Apart from his full time involvement with CRD, he is disseminating his very concept linking a good numbers of VOs/ NGOs throughout this region.
